Act 1, Scenes 7 and 8 see the storylines start to come together as Sgt. Tate (John Antonov) and Detective Premble (Brian Burke) study a development in the Prisa Hernandez case while Liz (Tiffany Tang) leches over Holden (Martin Gutfeldt) in Darlene's club.

Act 1, Scene 5 takes us on a first date with Jim (Brian Burke) and Farrah (Kym Pappas) which is far from a storybook romance but one that, despite Jim's verbal self-sabotage, looks like it could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Act 1, Scene 4 goes behind-the-scenes at tabloid news show “Get the Answers” where producer Doug (Bryant Hernandez) finds just enough time between calls from conspiracy theorists to berate his new assistant and we discover what he really thinks about his target demographic!

Act 1, Scene 3 is a cue for a song as local club owner Darlene (Sam Ginn) and Missy (Jamie Gutfeldt) welcome wayward Holden (Martin Gutfeldt) into the music business by offering him a "special spot" and we begin to learn more about what binds the town and its residents together. We also get our first sax scene!
